Welcome Back ACS

Dear ACS Families,

It is with great joy that I welcome everyone back for the 2022-2023 school year. Last year, as we joined together again after a disrupted pandemic year, we emphasized the 3 C’s connect, contribute, communicate. Our students, teachers and parents strengthened our learning  community as we worked together and supported each other.   I  hope to enhance the great partnerships and support from the ACS families as we move forward and have another successful year of fun, learning, and growth.

At ACS we are fortunate to work with the UNSDSN Global Schools program. As participants of the  Global Schools network  all students are provided with STEM  experiences that enable them to develop knowledge, problem solving  skills, empathy, and perseverance required to navigate future challenges.

The ACS staff strives to develop a safe, and nurturing environment in which all students can succeed. Students participate in the TRACK program for social emotional learning.  During our weekly camp fire assemblies students will participate in the ACS chant which captures our beliefs:

At ACS, We do our best!

Hand in Hand, With TRACK we stand.

All can Succeed, Just do your part!

With respect, And a kind heart.

Yes we are! Going far!

Because we are… ACS!

Your child’s class placement for the 22-23 school year will be available through the
Genesis portal on August 16th. At that time you will see your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year. If you are unable to see the placement or have any concerns please call the ACS main office and email [email protected].

Please know that these assignments were created through several months of planning and collaboration among the faculty members, while also using parent input as part of the process. Each class was created to generate a balance of students and the most productive and diverse environment for learning. We will continue assessments and conversations throughout the year as we work to ensure that each student’s experience is successful.

Also, enclosed is our letter regarding arrival and dismissal at ACS. Please call us with any questions you may have. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday , September 6th!

Sincerely,

Maria Barceló Martinez, Ed.D.
