School Community Message: December Break 2025

Posted Date: 12/23/25 (12:30 PM)

To Our School Community:

As we reach the final days of 2025, I want to take a moment to wish our students, staff, and families a wonderful and restful winter break.

The months from September through December are always full of activity, bringing countless moments of learning, growth, and celebration. From classrooms to athletic fields to school performances, the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the strong partnership we share with our families have been evident every step of the way. It has been a privilege, as your Superintendent, to witness this commitment and collaboration.

After such a busy and rewarding season, winter break offers a much-needed opportunity for our students and staff to unplug, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. Because breaks can represent a significant shift in routine, we encourage families to support their children in choosing activities that restore energy and promote emotional well-being. For ideas on how to support your child at home, please see the attached "Safety Planning" guide, from our partners at Effective School Solutions.

If you or someone you know is in need of support, please visit the district’s Family Resource Page for a list of services available through trusted community organizations.

As a reminder, all schools and district offices will be closed beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, December 24, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 5.

On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire administration, we wish you a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday break.

Xanthy Karamanos, Ed.D.
